My companion sits, Thus, arms and legs splayed
In abandon.
Mouth open-
Pathetic, hoarse
From a faded cry.
Destroyed existence,
We sit,
Can only be still together-
In a silence-
That shocks and saddens.
From hot fury-
To body still,
Life goes 'around-
Normality-
Taut legs beg respect-
I respect you friend.
Keep flies from your eyes-
So faded and white.
Dried blood 'tween mouth and earth,
With you always,
'tween sky and earth
