I look to walk through the world in a waking meditation. I love it when the sounds of the natural world synch with the beat of some music I am listening to, or when I watch people (while I have my headphones on) and their footsteps are in time with my music. I’m always looking for the remarkable moments the world throws up- a single hurricane of leaves in the middle of a road, the sunset making a life-sized shadow of an object directly behind it, patterns in debris made by the weather. They are the things I want to capture in photography- precious random moments shaped by the world which we have been fortunate to be there for. I’m not a professional photographer as much as a poet seeing poems and inspiration for poems in the temporal world.
